This artwork by Tom of Finland achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bukowski in Stockholm in May 2013. In the The Spring Contemporary, Stockholm auction, the work without title sold for SEK 70,000.00 (€ 8,138.28) - well above the upper estimate of SEK 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom of Finland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled [Twelve Works|AID701324] in May last year with an auction result of USD 289,800.00 (€ 270,058.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tom of Finland erzielte im Mai 2013 bei Bukowski in Stockholm einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Spring Contemporary, Stockholm wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für SEK 70.000,00 (€ 8.138,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von SEK 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom of Finland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled [Twelve Works|AID701324] im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 289.800,00 (€ 270.058,71).
