Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tom of Finland could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in May 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary & Design, Stockholm auction, this work without title changed hands for SEK 32,000.00 (€ 3,601.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom of Finland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled [Twelve Works|AID701324] in May last year with an auction result of USD 289,800.00 (€ 270,058.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tom of Finland konnte im Mai 2011 bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary & Design, Stockholm wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für SEK 32.000,00 (€ 3.601,56) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom of Finland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled [Twelve Works|AID701324] im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 289.800,00 (€ 270.058,71).
