Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Five Portraits Of Artists, 1980S by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000 - 7,000, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,250 (€ 6,678) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 46,000 (€ 31,318).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Five Portraits Of Artists, 1980S von Timothy Greenfield-Sanders kam im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000 – 7.000 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250 (€ 6.678) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Timothy Greenfield-Sanders auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 46.000 (€ 31.318).
