In April this year Sothebys in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Selected Images (Portraits of Alice Rose George) by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,008 (€ 957), 44% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 46,000 (€ 31,318).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44% übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Selected Images (Portraits of Alice Rose George) von Timothy Greenfield-Sanders zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.008 (€ 957) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Timothy Greenfield-Sanders erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 46.000 (€ 31.318).
