Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tim Lokiec achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in June 2007. In the Saturday@Phillips auction, the work Landing in a Ditch sold for USD 3,120.00 (€ 2,307.69) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tim Lokiec - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spiked Driftwood with Colorwave, which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 10,200.00 (€ 7,581.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tim Lokiec erzielte im Juni 2007 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Saturday@Phillips wurde die Arbeit Landing in a Ditch für USD 3.120,00 (€ 2.307,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tim Lokiec mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spiked Driftwood with Colorwave beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für USD 10.200,00 (€ 7.581,95) versteigert wurde.
