Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of Mary Myers Hale by Thomas Sully for USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,483.52). This price was achieved in the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Sully achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Thomas Jefferson in May 2003 with an auction result of USD 209,100.00 (€ 177,715.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait Of Mary Myers Hale von Thomas Sully für USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.483,52) erwerben.
