Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Thomas Nozkowski achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (8-103) sold for USD 25,200.00 (€ 21,459.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Nozkowski - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (8-64), which sold at auction in May this year for USD 48,260.00 (€ 45,297.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Thomas Nozkowski erzielte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (8-103) für USD 25.200,00 (€ 21.459,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Nozkowski mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (8-64) beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für USD 48.260,00 (€ 45.297,54) versteigert wurde.
