However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Buttersworth, Sen. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Nelson's patent bridge for boarding First Rates' at the Battle of Cape St. Vincent, 14th February, 1797, which sold at auction in May 2003 for GBP 24,675.00 (€ 34,378.49).
