This artwork by Taner Ceylan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October last year. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Portrait of Şeker Ahmet Pasha sold for GBP 32,760.00 (€ 38,165.04) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Taner Ceylan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 1879 (From The Lost Painting Series) in April 2011 with an auction result of GBP 229,250.00 (€ 258,175.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Taner Ceylan erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Portrait of Şeker Ahmet Pasha für GBP 32.760,00 (€ 38.165,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Taner Ceylan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 1879 (From The Lost Painting Series) im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 229.250,00 (€ 258.175,01).
