This artwork by Taner Ceylan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2009. In the Contemporary Art Turkish auction, the work Spiritual sold for GBP 70,850.00 (€ 76,401.10) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Taner Ceylan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 1879 (From The Lost Painting Series), which sold at auction in April 2011 for GBP 229,250.00 (€ 258,175.01).

In der Auktion Contemporary Art Turkish wurde die Arbeit Spiritual für GBP 70.850,00 (€ 76.401,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Taner Ceylan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 1879 (From The Lost Painting Series) beobachtet, die im April 2011 für GBP 229.250,00 (€ 258.175,01) versteigert wurde.
