Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Self-Portrait As Cinderella by Taner Ceylan was sold in the Post War and Contemporary ArtEvening Auction auction at Christies in London in October 2012. It changed hands for a price of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 68,693.68) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Taner Ceylan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 1879 (From The Lost Painting Series), which sold at auction in April 2011 for GBP 229,250.00 (€ 258,175.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Self-Portrait As Cinderella von Taner Ceylan wurde im Oktober 2012 in der Auktion Post War and Contemporary ArtEvening Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 55.250,00 (€ 68.693,68) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Taner Ceylan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 1879 (From The Lost Painting Series) beobachtet, die im April 2011 für GBP 229.250,00 (€ 258.175,01) versteigert wurde.
