Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art / Turkish, which included the work Ten Kafesi (Cage Of Flesh) by Taner Ceylan. The price achieved of GBP 121,250.00 (€ 148,709.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Other works by Taner Ceylan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2011 the work 1879 (From The Lost Painting Series) was auctioned for GBP 229,250.00 (€ 258,175.01).
