A top price for Tadaaki Kuwayama - as previously expected
In May 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Untitled (Tk5769-‘66) by Tadaaki Kuwayama. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 107,100.00 (€ 87,830.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Untitled (Tk5769-‘66) is the most expensive artwork by Tadaaki Kuwayama that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Tk5769-‘66) von Tadaaki Kuwayama zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 107.100,00 (€ 87.830,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Untitled (Tk5769-‘66) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Tadaaki Kuwayama, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
