Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tadaaki Kuwayama achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in June 2012. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,880.64) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tadaaki Kuwayama have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Tk5769-‘66) in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 107,100.00 (€ 87,830.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tadaaki Kuwayama erzielte im Juni 2012 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.880,64) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tadaaki Kuwayama auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Tk5769-‘66) im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 107.100,00 (€ 87.830,08).
