Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Palast by Tacita Dean was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October 2016. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,552.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tacita Dean achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wake in October 2012 with an auction result of GBP 133,250.00 (€ 165,673.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Palast von Tacita Dean kam im Oktober 2016 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.552,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tacita Dean erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wake im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 133.250,00 (€ 165.673,00).
