Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lalu Lintas (Street Scene) by Sudjana Kerton was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,620,000.00 (€ 184,982.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Sudjana Kerton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Village Life in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 13,240,000.00 (€ 1,231,405.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lalu Lintas (Street Scene) von Sudjana Kerton kam im Mai 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.500.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.620.000,00 (€ 184.982,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sudjana Kerton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Village Life im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 13.240.000,00 (€ 1.231.405,91).
