In November 2006 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Part II, which included the work Laundromat - Locomotion (Test Sequence) by Steven Pippin. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,239.27), 37% above the upper estimate. With this result, Laundromat - Locomotion (Test Sequence) is even the most expensive work of art by Steven Pippin that we have observed at auctions so far.
