Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Laundromat - Locomotion (Test Sequence), 1997 by Steven Pippin was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in April 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,040.00 (€ 3,992.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Steven Pippin have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2006 the work Laundromat - Locomotion (Test Sequence) was auctioned for USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,239.27).
