In September 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work Extreme Black III by Steven Parrino. The »bidding war« ended at USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,632.74), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Steven Parrino achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Idol/Idiot in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 566,500.00 (€ 661,206.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im September 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War to Present durch, in der auch die Arbeit Extreme Black III von Steven Parrino zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.632,74) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Steven Parrino erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Idol/Idiot im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 566.500,00 (€ 661.206,96).
