Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Collage for Zine Poster, Champion Exhibition #17 by Steven Parrino was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 819.00 (€ 707.44). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Steven Parrino achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Idol/Idiot in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 566,500.00 (€ 661,206.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Collage for Zine Poster, Champion Exhibition #17 von Steven Parrino im September 2021 bei Phillips in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 819,00 (€ 707,44) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Steven Parrino erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Idol/Idiot im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 566.500,00 (€ 661.206,96).
