This artwork by Steven Parrino achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2013. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Idol/Idiot sold for GBP 566,500.00 (€ 661,206.96) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 250,000.00. This high result makes Idol/Idiot the most expensive artwork by Steven Parrino that we have observed at auctions so far.
