Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Excerpt (Castle Drapery) by Stephen G. Rhodes for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,911.66). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Stephen G. Rhodes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ssspecific Object in October 2013 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,819.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Excerpt (Castle Drapery) von Stephen G. Rhodes für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.911,66) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stephen G. Rhodes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ssspecific Object im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.819,92).
