In September 2018 Christies in London held the auction Contemporary Edition, which included the work A small group of Male Head Studies (Three Works) by Stephen Conroy. The result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,684.69) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stephen Conroy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L.R. in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 86,900.00 (€ 124,794.12).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Contemporary Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit A small group of Male Head Studies (Three Works) von Stephen Conroy zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.684,69) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stephen Conroy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L.R. im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 86.900,00 (€ 124.794,12).
