This artwork by Stephen Conroy achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October last year. In the Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale auction, the work Figure Study sold for GBP 32,760.00 (€ 38,165.04) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stephen Conroy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L.R., which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 86,900.00 (€ 124,794.12).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Stephen Conroy erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Figure Study für GBP 32.760,00 (€ 38.165,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Stephen Conroy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L.R. beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 86.900,00 (€ 124.794,12) versteigert wurde.
