Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for 'The Passage of Time' by Stephen Conroy was sold in the The Scottish Sale auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 9,437.50 (€ 10,479.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stephen Conroy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L.R. in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 86,900.00 (€ 124,794.12).

Die Arbeit Study for 'The Passage of Time' von Stephen Conroy wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion The Scottish Sale bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.437,50 (€ 10.479,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stephen Conroy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L.R. im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 86.900,00 (€ 124.794,12).
