Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Luminor-8-5 by Stanley Casselman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,517.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stanley Casselman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work IR-40-16 in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 134,500.00 (€ 189,643.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Luminor-8-5 von Stanley Casselman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.517,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stanley Casselman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit IR-40-16 im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 134.500,00 (€ 189.643,31).
