Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Day Sale, which included the work Luminar-6-40 by Stanley Casselman. The price achieved of HKD 107,100.00 (€ 11,633.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stanley Casselman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work IR-40-16 in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 134,500.00 (€ 189,643.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Luminar-6-40 von Stanley Casselman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 107.100,00 (€ 11.633,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stanley Casselman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit IR-40-16 im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 134.500,00 (€ 189.643,31).
