This artwork by Spencer Finch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bukowski in Stockholm in October 2009. In the Autumn Modern sale auction, the work Try to remember the colour of Jackie Kennedy's pillbox hat 43 sold for SEK 14,000.00 (€ 1,345.44) - well above the upper estimate of SEK 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Spencer Finch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York Boogie Woogie (Times Square, April 27, 2003, 10:07 Pm) in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 60,668.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Spencer Finch erzielte im Oktober 2009 bei Bukowski in Stockholm einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Autumn Modern sale wurde die Arbeit Try to remember the colour of Jackie Kennedy's pillbox hat 43 für SEK 14.000,00 (€ 1.345,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von SEK 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Spencer Finch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit New York Boogie Woogie (Times Square, April 27, 2003, 10:07 Pm) im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 60.668,90).
