Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Wrech of the Titanic, 1997 by Spencer Finch was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October 2009. The price achieved of SEK 3,000.00 (€ 288.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as SEK 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Spencer Finch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York Boogie Woogie (Times Square, April 27, 2003, 10:07 Pm) in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 60,668.90).

Die Arbeit The Wrech of the Titanic, 1997 von Spencer Finch kam im Oktober 2009 bei Bukowski in Stockholm zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von SEK 3.000,00 (€ 288,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit SEK 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Spencer Finch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit New York Boogie Woogie (Times Square, April 27, 2003, 10:07 Pm) im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 60.668,90).
