Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sorel Etrog achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in July 2020. In the Contemporary Art | New York auction, the work War Remembrance sold for USD 17,500.00 (€ 14,863.26) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sorel Etrog have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Family Group in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 161,000.00 (€ 118,330.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sorel Etrog erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | New York wurde die Arbeit War Remembrance für USD 17.500,00 (€ 14.863,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sorel Etrog auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Family Group im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 161.000,00 (€ 118.330,15).
