Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Venetian by Sorel Etrog was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. The price achieved of USD 17,640.00 (€ 15,145.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sorel Etrog have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Family Group in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 161,000.00 (€ 118,330.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Venetian von Sorel Etrog wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 17.640,00 (€ 15.145,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sorel Etrog auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Family Group im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 161.000,00 (€ 118.330,15).
