Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Negress by Sorel Etrog. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,670.00 (€ 4,868.21) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sorel Etrog achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Family Group in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 161,000.00 (€ 118,330.15).
