Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sorel Etrog achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2017. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Standing Figure sold for USD 75,000.00 (€ 63,489.38) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sorel Etrog; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Family Group sold at auction in November 2013 with the realized price of USD 161,000.00 (€ 118,330.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sorel Etrog erzielte im September 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Standing Figure für USD 75.000,00 (€ 63.489,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sorel Etrog; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Family Group im November 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 161.000,00 (€ 118.330,15).
