The work Schematische Komposition by Sophie Taeuber-Arp was sold in the IMPRESSIONIST AND MODERN WORKS ON PAPER auction at Christies in London in February 2005. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 50,400.00 (€ 73,086.45). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sophie Taeuber-Arp - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition dans un cercle blanc sur fond noir, which sold at auction in February 2019 for GBP 187,500.00 (€ 218,725.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Schematische Komposition von Sophie Taeuber-Arp wurde im Februar 2005 in der Auktion IMPRESSIONIST AND MODERN WORKS ON PAPER bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 50.400,00 (€ 73.086,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Sophie Taeuber-Arp mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition dans un cercle blanc sur fond noir beobachtet, die im Februar 2019 für GBP 187.500,00 (€ 218.725,28) versteigert wurde.
