In the Collection Greta Stroeh : Hommage à Arp auction, the work Formes coïncidentes, lignes et plans sold for EUR 37,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sophie Taeuber-Arp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composition dans un cercle blanc sur fond noir in February 2019 with an auction result of GBP 187,500.00 (€ 218,725.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sophie Taeuber-Arp erzielte im Juni 2020 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Collection Greta Stroeh : Hommage à Arp wurde die Arbeit Formes coïncidentes, lignes et plans für EUR 37.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sophie Taeuber-Arp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composition dans un cercle blanc sur fond noir im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 187.500,00 (€ 218.725,28).
