Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three works: (i) Avante Sky, S for Science?; (ii) How Many Good Pauls Do You Know; (iii) Read the Wet by SoiL Thornton was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,900.00 (€ 17,037.77) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by SoiL Thornton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Deep Scrape, which sold at auction in March 2021 for USD 52,920.00 (€ 45,065.15).

Die Arbeit Three works: (i) Avante Sky, S for Science?; (ii) How Many Good Pauls Do You Know; (iii) Read the Wet von SoiL Thornton kam im März letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.900,00 (€ 17.037,77) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von SoiL Thornton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Deep Scrape beobachtet, die im März 2021 für USD 52.920,00 (€ 45.065,15) versteigert wurde.
