Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Positive Reinforcements, Which Boundaries Do We See, Does Slim Jim Sound Less Sexist Than Slim Jane by SoiL Thornton was sold in the Post-War to Present auction at Christies in New York in September last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 20,160.00 (€ 20,607.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by SoiL Thornton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Deep Scrape, which sold at auction in March 2021 for USD 52,920.00 (€ 45,065.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Positive Reinforcements, Which Boundaries Do We See, Does Slim Jim Sound Less Sexist Than Slim Jane von SoiL Thornton wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in New York versteigert.
