In November 2021 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session, which included the work Covered Faux Self Portrait by SoiL Thornton. The price achieved of USD 50,400.00 (€ 44,653.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by SoiL Thornton have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2021 the work Deep Scrape was auctioned for USD 52,920.00 (€ 45,065.15).
