Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Great Bear by Simon Patterson was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2008. It changed hands for a price of GBP 17,300.00 (€ 22,627.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Simon Patterson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Great Bear, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,983.67).

Die Arbeit Great Bear von Simon Patterson kam im Februar 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 17.300,00 (€ 22.627,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Simon Patterson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Great Bear beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 38.400,00 (€ 56.983,67) versteigert wurde.
