Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Seni Awa Camara could be acquired at Phillips in New York in September this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 3,810.00 (€ 3,599.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Seni Awa Camara - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 10,710.00 (€ 12,688.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Seni Awa Camara konnte im September diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 3.810,00 (€ 3.599,77) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Seni Awa Camara mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 10.710,00 (€ 12.688,46) versteigert wurde.
