Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans titre (femme enceinte), circa 1990 by Seni Awa Camara was auctioned at Artcurial in May this year. The price achieved of EUR 3,280.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,500.00 – 4,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Seni Awa Camara - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 10,710.00 (€ 12,688.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sans titre (femme enceinte), circa 1990 von Seni Awa Camara kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.280,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.500,00 – 4.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Seni Awa Camara mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 10.710,00 (€ 12.688,46) versteigert wurde.
