In April 2008 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art 2, which included the work Personnage Et Animal by Seni Awa Camara. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,718.00 49% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Seni Awa Camara - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 10,710.00 (€ 12,688.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Im April 2008 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art 2 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Personnage Et Animal von Seni Awa Camara zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.718,00 und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Seni Awa Camara mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 10.710,00 (€ 12.688,46) versteigert wurde.
