Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Seni Awa Camara was sold in the Modern and Contemporary African Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,249.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Seni Awa Camara have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2021 the work without title was auctioned for GBP 10,710.00 (€ 12,688.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Seni Awa Camara wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.249,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Seni Awa Camara konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2021 die Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 10.710,00 (€ 12.688,46) versteigert.
