Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Seong Tae-Jin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2011. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work An Empty Dream sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 17,937.45) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 65,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Seong Tae-Jin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Manjeong-ri 637; & Manjeong-ri 637 sold at auction in May 2010 with the realized price of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 18,180.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Seong Tae-Jin erzielte im November 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit An Empty Dream für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 17.937,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 65.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Seong Tae-Jin; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Manjeong-ri 637; & Manjeong-ri 637 im Mai 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 18.180,53).
