Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century to Now, which included the work My Friends by Secundino Hernández. The price achieved of GBP 50,800.00 (€ 59,122.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Secundino Hernández - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in February 2020 for GBP 125,000.00 (€ 144,875.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century to Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit My Friends von Secundino Hernández zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.800,00 (€ 59.122,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Secundino Hernández mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Februar 2020 für GBP 125.000,00 (€ 144.875,28) versteigert wurde.
