Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Secundino Hernández was auctioned at Phillips in London in July 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,373.12). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Secundino Hernández - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in February 2020 for GBP 125,000.00 (€ 144,875.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Secundino Hernández im Juli 2021 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 35.280,00 (€ 41.373,12) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Secundino Hernández mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Februar 2020 für GBP 125.000,00 (€ 144.875,28) versteigert wurde.
