Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Secundino Hernández. The price achieved of GBP 47,880.00 (€ 53,166.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Secundino Hernández - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in February 2020 for GBP 125,000.00 (€ 144,875.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Secundino Hernández zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 47.880,00 (€ 53.166,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Secundino Hernández mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Februar 2020 für GBP 125.000,00 (€ 144.875,28) versteigert wurde.
