SARAH CHARLESWORTH (1947-2013) Mobile, from Unframed XII Fuji crystal archive print in colors, on photo paper, 2004, signed and inscribed 'To Margo with love and thanks XO Sarah,' annotated 'AP' on the reverse (one of ten artist's proofs, the edition was 100), published for ACRIA: Aids Community Research Initiative, at the Charles Cowles Gallery, New York, the full sheet, in very good condition, framed Sheet: 10 x 7 7 ⁄ 8 in. (254 x 200 mm.)
Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mobile, from Unframed XII by Sarah Charlesworth was auctioned at Christies in New York in July last year. The price achieved of USD 1,008.00 (€ 988.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sarah Charlesworth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seated Buddha (from 0 + 1) in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 25,200.00 (€ 21,767.30).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.008,00 (€ 988,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sarah Charlesworth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Seated Buddha (from 0 + 1) im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 21.767,30).
