In May 2019 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Untitled (Voyeur) from the Doubleworld series by Sarah Charlesworth. The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,938.83), 33% above the upper estimate. Other works by Sarah Charlesworth have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 25,200.00 (€ 21,767.30) in September 2021 for the work Seated Buddha (from 0 + 1).
