Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Regarding Venus (from 'Available Light') by Sarah Charlesworth. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,600.00 (€ 11,957.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Sarah Charlesworth have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2021 the work Seated Buddha (from 0 + 1) was auctioned for USD 25,200.00 (€ 21,767.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Regarding Venus (from 'Available Light') von Sarah Charlesworth zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 11.957,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Sarah Charlesworth konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2021 die Arbeit Seated Buddha (from 0 + 1) für USD 25.200,00 (€ 21.767,30) versteigert.
